Noris-Color develops and manufactures stamp inks as well as industrial coding and marking inks in Kulmbach.
For a new task, we look at more than the ink itself. Material and surface, application system, required properties, target market and technical or regulatory requirements can all play a role.
This helps clarify at an early stage whether an existing product is suitable, can be adapted or whether a customer-specific development is the better approach.
If a standard product does not suit the application, we develop or adapt inks for specific materials, surfaces, application systems and requirements. From stamping and roll-coding applications to pad or flexographic printing and customer-specific industrial application systems, we consider the application as a complete task.
-> Innovation
In our in-house laboratory, we measure and compare relevant properties of our inks and raw materials. These include pH, viscosity, density, surface tension, conductivity, colour measurement and refractive index.
We also carry out application-related tests, for example on drying behaviour, chemical resistance, lightfastness and compatibility with materials and application systems.
Documented production and quality processes support traceability from the raw material used through to the respective order.
Legal requirements, substance requirements, industry standards and customer-specific specifications can already be considered when selecting or developing an ink.
This ranges from familiar topics such as REACH or RoHS to requirements from industrial supply chains and individual customer specifications.
Depending on the product and requirement, we provide technical and regulatory documentation. This may include Safety Data Sheets, Technical Data Sheets, manufacturer declarations and available internal and external test evidence.
-> Certificates
Development, quality control, regulatory work and documentation are interconnected in many projects.
A required shade alone is not enough, for example, if the ink must also adhere to a specific material, work with a particular application system, achieve defined resistance properties or take a customer-specific requirement into account.
This combination is precisely the starting point for our development work.
Then send us the material or surface, application system, required properties, target market and any existing specifications.
Then simply tell us what needs to be marked, how the ink is applied and what the marking needs to achieve.
